Founded 1980
The philosophy of our firm, James B. Glascock Architect P.C. is to provide a full range of architectural design, and planning services to our clients, but to remain a small firm, in order to offer them direct attention and a hands-on approach to their project. With a hands-on approach, our client gets the consideration of the sole architect and a small staff. We believe this perspective to design has developed over time from our clienteles needs. Also, from our clients past experiences of working with larger firms, where the attention needed by the client seemed lacking with the principal architect of the firm, which also delegated a majority of the design and project responsibilities to lower ranking employees. We believe the client's project goals and important input and information often get lost in this process. We believe the success of any project, large or small, is a direct result of the primary design professionals awareness and interest throughout all phases of the project.
We are intricately involved in and overseeing all aspects of the project from the initial client meeting, to setting the project's goals and parameters through the contract administration, all the way through the completion of the construction. This is a positive benefit towards the success of our client's projects. Our goal is to establish a clear understanding of the client's needs and their budget at the very beginning. It is also to design their project as if every dollar spent were our own.
Our firm has successfully completed a variety of projects in the Western United States ranging from design-build projects, schools, churches, restaurants, offices, tenant improvements (TI), sports facilities, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, single family residences, multiple family apartment buildings and condominiums, and many many more.
We have acted as a consultant to the Cities of Holladay, Centerville and South Salt Lake City, and for Mayors, City Councils, Re-Development Agencies, and Planning and Building Departments. Our Firm acted as the Owner's Representative for the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City on the Skaggs Catholic Center in Draper, Utah.
Our firm is currently licensed to practice architecture and planning in the states of Arizona, Idaho, and Utah. We have previously held licenses in the states of Nevada and New Mexico. Our firm holds a current NCARB Certificate.
